This, for me, is a new area to experiment in. Life I believe should be full of experimenting and learning, and in fact the whole of life is a process of ‘life- long- learning.’ To me it is part of the meaning of ‘discipleship.’
It is also good however to keep on making new beginnings. We need to keep building on ‘the old.’ I’m reminded of the phrase in Sydney Carter’s song- ‘ It’s from the old I travel to the new, keep me travelling along with you.’
Life is also about sharing, and the more we can share with others, the better it is. An American book, called ‘ From Age-ing to Sageing,’ has appealed to me a lot. Whilst there is always a danger that older people might reminisce a great deal to people who are not interested, there is a role for us to share wisdom or sage-ism that has been acquired over many years and through many different kinds of experiences. There should also be a willingness on our part to give advice to anyone who would like it.
Needless to say, if I am able to help in any way, do not hesitate to ask!
David.

Good to hear from you Roberta – and all the bits of family news. Pleased to hear also your thoughts about ‘Wisdom’ being useful when used in the right places and the right times. Greetings to all the family and all friends we know. David.
